OVERVIEW 1Continuum helps you organize your household's financial picture. Because that involves sensitive information, we designed the Service to keep your data isolated to you and the people you authorize, never sold, and never used for advertising. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who processes it on our behalf, and your choices. 2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT - Account information: your name and email address, and sign-in metadata. - Content you provide: documents you upload (such as statements, tax returns, and schedules) and the records derived from them — accounts, assets, entities (LLCs, trusts, partnerships), liabilities, insurance, income, and related notes. - Bank-connection data (optional): if you link an account, limited account information (such as balances and masked identifiers) obtained through our bank-linking provider. We do not receive or store your bank login credentials. - Usage and technical data: basic logs needed to operate and secure the Service. We do not collect or store Social Security Numbers. Documents are processed to extract the information needed for your records without retaining SSNs. 3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION We use your information to: provide the Service (read, classify, reconcile, store, and display your records); maintain security and prevent abuse; communicate with you about your account and important notices; and improve the reliability of the Service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to serve advertising. 4. ARTIFICIAL-INTELLIGENCE PROCESSING To read and organize the documents and data you provide, the Service sends relevant content to AI service providers for extraction, classification, and summarization. This processing is performed to provide the Service to you. [Confirm with provider terms:] our AI providers do not use your content to train their general models. AI-generated output is informational only and may be inaccurate. 5. SERVICE PROVIDERS (SUBPROCESSORS) We share data only with providers that help us operate the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it. These currently include: - Cloud database, file storage, and authentication (Supabase) - Application hosting (Vercel) - AI document processing (Anthropic) - Optional bank-account linking (Plaid) - Email delivery (Resend) - Payment processing, if you purchase a paid plan (Stripe) — we do not store full card details [Confirm the current subprocessor list before publishing; keep it updated.] 6. ADVISORS AND FIRMS If you choose to connect with an advisory firm, you control that connection. A connection happens only with your explicit consent, shares only the access you approve, and can be revoked by you at any time. We do not share your data with any advisor or firm without your action. 7. HOW YOUR DATA IS PROTECTED AND ISOLATED Your records are protected by per-household access controls enforced at the database level, so users can reach only the data they own or are explicitly granted. Data is encrypted in transit. We follow least-privilege practices for internal access. As noted above, Social Security Numbers are never stored. 8. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION We retain your information while your account is active. You can export your data and delete your account at any time. When you delete your account, we delete your associated content (except where limited retention is required by law), including linked records and stored files. 9. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES You can access, export, correct, or delete your information from within the Service or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws (for example, to access, delete, correct, or restrict certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them). COOKIES AND TRACKING We use only the cookies/local storage needed to sign you in and operate the Service (for example, keeping you logged in and remembering your active household). WHERE DATA IS PROCESSED The Service and its providers operate in the United States.
