Who can see what
We won’t hide behind jargon — here’s exactly who can see what.
Only you and the people you invite can see your finances. Another client never can. An advisor sees only the clients who accepted them — no one else’s picture.
The people who run 1Continuum don’t have a window into your money. Our internal tools show only anonymous counts — never your name, email, or net worth. Being honest: like every software company or bank, a small, restricted, logged set of operators can technically reach the raw database for maintenance — never to browse your wealth. What we don’t have is any screen that shows your individual finances.
We never ask for or read your SSN. We strip it from the data we process. If a document you upload happens to contain one, that file is encrypted and locked to your household.
What “encrypted” means, plainly. Your data is scrambled in transit and at rest — so a stolen drive or a tapped connection reveals gibberish, not your finances.
Bank connections are read-only. We can see balances to keep your picture current; we can never move money. The keys are encrypted, and you can disconnect anytime.
Nothing changes silently. Every action is reversible and leaves an auditable trail — you can always see what happened and undo it.
Never sold. Never used to train anyone else’s model. Your records are yours. We don’t sell them, and we don’t feed them into a model that serves someone else.
